PUGH FAMILY REUNION JULY 12, 2008

We had such a good reunion again at Duck Creek on top of Cedar Mountain. Although we did worry a few hours about my car. While driving up from Parowan, something blew and there was steam coming up from under the hood. We pulled over. Doug was driving Ron's car behind us. They lifted the hood, put out some flames, using all our bottles of water. After it was towed to Parowan on Thursday evening we were worried it was the whole ENGINE!! But the mechanic was able to fix it Friday !!! only the radiator! He got the parts and fixed it faster and probably cheaper than Utah County would have cost. Boy were we relieved.
We had fun at the reunion with games, races, eating, marshmellows, squirrels, nice cabins, visiting, eating, sharing stories. There was a big representation from Duff Pugh's family. DeRay fed us wonderful sour dough biscuits and pancakes with pear syrup. Clare had her two grandchildren up with the grand dogs too, so Jack was able to play with Jill. Jack & Tristana had fun with their aunts, uncles and cousins. It was fun sharing all the meals and tasting everyones receipes. Cari came down from Alaska, Brett up from California. Marilyn from Washington, Christy & Doug from Mexico. It was a wonderful gathering!! I especially had fun with the Pugh Family Bingo game with everyone trying to identify the photos I had printed of our ancestors! I think DeRay knew more than anyone.
I love this kind of bonding time and being able to share our lives with our family. I'm glad we're all a sealed eternal family!

PARTY AT THE PARK

TAYLOR FAMILY PARTY

Monday July 20, 2008 we had a wonderful Taylor Family party. We haven't all been together since Christmas, so it felt good to see who could attend. Everyone brought the ingredients to build tacos. We ate every bit of food we brought. Christy, Tristana and Jack are here visiting for two weeks, so we planned the party. She and Jill are pregnant and it was fun comparing profiles. We spent some time up at the pond. Fishing is free for the children, so many tried to do it. Where was Grandma & Grandpa Taylor when we needed them? Spencer Staheli caught the ONLY fish. We all feed the ducks some wonderful stale bread. It was a trick keeping the kids on the shore and not in the pond. The boys hit the jack post of gold balls off the golf course. They brought them back to share with all the other kids. Carol got attacked by her cute little girls. Matt is going back to Iraq, or somewhere soon. Mike and Sabrina drove all the way from Elko. I drove all the way from Spanish Fork. Abbie was letting everyone snuggle her new baby. Laura was hoping no one would slug her shoulder We are all praying for Janice with her upcoming surgery that all will go well. It was a pleasant way to spend a summer evening. A good bonding time. We need more of these get togthers!
